The Gallery of
Mirrors
RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, Conceptual Gardens
Location Hampton Court, United Kingdom
Year 2014-2015
Description The garden thrives on the sensations provoked by different contrasts, typical of the Mediterranean landscape. A still manufactured geometrical object is placed among a shapeless natural mass. This mass, composed of ruffled shrubs of a hundred shades of yellow counteracts with the “internal garden” the mysterious object. A statuesque succulents’ gallery of a unique essence. The visitors will see their portraits in the “The gallery of Mirrors” blended with the antropomorphic prickly pears, the strongest yet most ambiguous contrast. circular base of flowery meadow, together with a careful botanical research, marks the conceptual character of the garden, suspending the composition from its context.
